What the club lacks in design and décor, it certainly makes up for in atmosphere and music.

The vibe is really happy with a trouble-free crowd and lots of weird and wonderful people.

The music covers cheesy pop downstairs with a strict playlist of the usual camp classics (Britney, Steps, Take That, Destiny’s Child etc).

Upstairs is more commercial dance, from old skool house numbers and trance records through to modern dance tunes.

This is accompanied with lasers and dry ice where you can completely lose yourself in the music.Don’t expect anything too flash on the drinks.

The wine is like paint stripper and the spirits taste watered down but if you stick to bottled beers and/or alcopops, you should be fine.

Décor-wise the club is painted completely black inside and can feel a bit like a rabbit warren at times with corridors to adjoining rooms, but both elements add to the feel of the club making it all a bit dark and mysterious…..kind of cool when you are in a place with such open-mindedness.

The crowd is predominantly gay men with a few gays girls here and there, however the reputation of the club and its music has also attracted quite a straight crowd, making things a little challenging for anyone on the pull, but interesting nonetheless.

Drag Queens frequent the place, adding a glamorous touch and by the end of the night, a vast majority of the cute boys are topless, happily throwing some shapes on the dance floor, in the run up to closing time.

Do you go to Club Revenge? there must be another one of the same name in Brighton or you haven't been to any other clubs!Club Revenge is alright on some nights, but it's dated as hell, sticky dirty carpets, a lot of the safety strips on the stairs have droppped off and not been replaced (health & safety would have a field day in that club), missing strips of wood on the floor, half empty most nights.... I'd hardly say that's a busy top club especially as they haven't changed the decor in OVER 13 years!!! Most straight clubs get a refurb every 2 or 3 years like Club Tru (which has been Club Creation and Paradox Club) in the time I've been here, the guys who own Revenge haven't spent much at all, maybe a coupla licks of paint on the wall and some dodgy wallpaper, that's it!It's a ripoff joint, I only go there on cheap nights with mates, certainly get better service and vastly better night out anywhere else! - Report
