The Brighton Activity Centre runs kayaking experiences for complete beginners, improvers and sea kayaking experts. All guides on this kayaking experience are fully qualified and experienced BCU coaches. They will guide you through an understanding of the sea, the effects of wind swell and tide, handling your craft both on and off the water, safety equipment and kayaking rescue techniques. There is even a choice of venues to suit most kayaking abilities and weather conditions.
All equipment is provided for this kayaking experience, yet do feel free to bring your own approved kit if desired. For the half day kayaking experience, you will need to bring warm clothes to wear at sea, T shirt, fleece or jumper and a pair of trainers. Leggings/tracksuit trousers are not recommended as they are not natural fibres and they get cold when wet. Expect everything to get wet and bring a spare set of clothes to change into after the kayaking experience. For extra wet kayaking sessions, wetsuits will be provided.
The kayaking experience really is totally unsinkable seaside fun. See Brighton beach from a different angle whilst you paddle about or simply rest and catch some rays on these colourful single and double kayaks.
