Just up the road from the station and looking small and a little jaded from the outside, once inside The Battle Of Trafalgar reveals itself to be a tiny but welcoming local pub. There's a beer garden out the back which is set to be covered over with smokers in mind. Central heating is currently being installed to add to the warm environment. Thankfully there's not a television screen anywhere in sight - a haven if you don't rate surround sound sport as a side to your cider.

The People
Anyone but sports fans flock here and the combination of personalities really adds to the atmosphere. Work weary commuters drop by for a quick pint to unwind before heading home, long standing regulars prop up the bar pint in hand and the odd curious student also finds their way in to pull up a pew.

The Food and Drink
On draught The Battle Of Trafalgar has London Pride, Summer Lightning. Harveys Sharps Down, Kronenbourg, San Miguel, Fosters and Grolsch. When it comes to the food you can't beat a traditional dish and its Sunday roasts are highly recommended when it comes to feeding a hangover after a hard Saturday night on the lash.

The Battle of Trafalgar is a cosy and friendly old local with a wealth of great features nestling behind a slightly scruffy exterior. If you don't judge a pub by its styling, then this is the watering hole for you.
