Gardens is a rather run of the mill pub in the heart of the bohemian North Laines that's best known for being the one with the phone box outside.

The Venue
At the Gloucester Road end of Kensington Gardens in the North Laines, the originally named Gardens has seating outside and a disused old red phone box which is great for playing spot the confused tourist when they think it's a working one. Inside it has a large central bar so you won't have to wait long to be served and is dimly lit making it perfect for days when you're hungover or first dates when you're not looking your best. The pub goes back a long way and features a pleasant little back room too.

The People
Gardens is extremely popular with tourists who drop by for a refreshing pint during a spot of North Laines shopping. Aside from them you'll rub shoulders with groups of jean-clad middle aged men catching up over a few pints of their usual.

The Drink
There's San Miguel, Strongbow, John Smiths, Kronenbourg and Budweiser on draught, as well as a selection of bottled beers and ciders.

The Last Word
A rather pedestrian pub in the North Laines however, if you think you may do things with joss sticks that they weren't designed for if you rub shoulders with another stripy trousered bohemian then this pub may be a breath of fresh air.
