Well known amongst Brighton's gay community, Legends is located on the seafront and is most popular for summertime drinking on the large terrace.

The Venue
A smart and contemporary gay bar on the seafront, Legends most striking feature is its vast white-tiled terraced area outside which is strewn with metal tables and chairs, making it an ideal place to bask in the summer sun (we can only hope). As it's the bar for Legends Hotel indoors it's smooth, slick and cosmopolitan with its little black tables and chairs and white banquettes. There's uptempo dance music pumping gently out of the speakers during the day that gradually gets louder throughout the night. Meanwhile, downstairs there's Legends nightclub which is open till 4am on the weekends.

The People
Legends attracts a friendly, fun gay crowd whose lives move seamlessly from drinks on the terrace during the day to dancing non-stop in the nightclub till the early hours before pulling on their sunglasses and slinking off home for a few hours shut-eye before doing it all again. Prepare to keep pace.

The Drink
There's not a huge amount of choice but what is there is good - Grolsch, Carling and Coors on draught and Corona, Becks, Budweiser and San Miguel in bottles.

The Last Word
Very smart, clean and contemporary, the bar affords great views from the large terrace and is a popular haunt of Brighton's party loving gay crowd.
