The ViewBrighton Review
Sport is the name of the game at the Preston Brewery Tap which is popular with Brighton and Hove Albion supporters. The VenueThe Preston Brewery Tap is a blokey pub which centres around sport on the TV, as well as having a pool table, billiards table, dartboard, jukebox and a fruit machine. In other words, lots of ways to spend your hard-earned student loan or giro cheque.
The PeoplePopular with Brighton and Hove Albion fans, the pub may be out of the city centre but it's certainly never quiet. When they're not watching sport, the punters are challenging each other to a game of pool or a quick round of arrows.
The Food and DrinkFosters, Guinness, Becks Vier, Kronenbourg, Timothy Taylor, Guinness, Stowford Press, Stella Artois, Summer Lightning, Harveys...the list of drinks on tap is seemingly neverending. As for the bottles there's Holsten Pils, Budweiser, Becks and Newcastle Brown, as well Westons Organic Cider and Westons Black Vintage. Food-wise there are sandwiches, samosas, scampi, burgers and all-day breakfasts, all for under a fiver.
The Last WordA cheap and cheerful down-to-earth pub that's popular with sports fans and students who hoover up the wide selection of beer and cheap grub.
