The ViewBrighton Review
It may be small but its location is spot-on making Riki Tik one of the most popular pre-club bars in the centre. The VenueThe Tardis-like Riki Tik looks exceptionally small from the outside however, it belies the fact that the bar stretches back like a corridor which then leads into even more drinking areas. Walk past the shiny bar by the entrance on the right and keep on walking. You'll find another room and then another bar and room at the back.
It’s dark in that classic old cocktail bar spirit with its dark walls and black banquettes and sofas with splashes of colour provided by the lampshades and projections. Open till the early hours every night of the week, DJs spin an eclectic dance music selection that depends on their mood and the crowd on any given night.
The PeopleAs you'd expect, Riki Tik is really popular with pre-club drinkers drawn from the local Brighton crowd, you won't have to fight your way past throngs of tourists here thanks to its North Laines location.
The Food and DrinkAlthough its reputation is built on the fact that it's a late night party bar, Riki Tik in fact opens at 10am and does a brisk trade in coffee, tea, toasted sarnies and Thai food. At night, there are loads of cocktails to choose from as well as shooters.
The Last WordA fantastic haunt in the North Laines which is deceptively large. At night it really comes into its own when it is packed with party people.
