The ViewBrighton Review

The Hampton has got Brighton style in spades and it's handy central location ensures that it is continually busy.

The Venue
Kooky and funky, The Hampton has shedloads of style from the stripped wooden floorboards, brown leather banquettes and 70s style wallpaper to the music blasting out through the speakers which follows a loose indie rock vein. Eclectic artwork adorns the walls and there's a covered seating area with wooden benches outside.

The People
Drinkers are generally in their mid-20s to early-30s age range and they're an artistic lot who happily donate their own paintings and artwork to hang on the pub's walls. The staff party as hard as the punters so don't be surprised if they end up as your new best mates.

The Drink
Draught beers include Harveys, Grolsch, Kronenbourg Blanc, Guinness and San Miguel but if you're more likely to opt for a fizzy apple brew you'll still be happy as there's Westons Scrumpy and Old Rosie cider on tap too. As for the food, the Sunday roasts are rightfully popular and whilst you're waiting for it to arrive you can always scribble on a napkin and ask them to add your contribution to the artwork on the walls.

The Last Word
Quirky and cool this retro styled pub keeps pulling the punters in. The arty, studenty crowd can't get enough of The Hampton and if you're wise you won't stand your ground, you'll join them.
