Sorry darling, I may be late home, I'm still in The Office...If ever there was reason enough to love a bar for its name alone, this is it.

The Venue
Situated in the trendy North Laines area, with its cream walls, low dark green ceiling and wooden tables and chairs, The Office is open, light and airy and much more a bar than a pub despite its pub-like exterior. Not at all apparent from the front —or even once you're inside – is the fact that there is a really sweet, walled beer garden out the back laid out across two levels with potted plants and ivy growing up the walls.

The People
The Office attracts a very mixed crowd — from townies and shoppers to office workers and students but it welcomes everyone in with open arms before turfing them out by midnight at the latest for them to continue their merriment at the clubs on the seafront.

The Food and Drink
On tap there’s Kronenbourg, Carling, Grolsch and Guinness, as well as bottled beers and ciders including the non-alcoholic beer Bitburger and Westons Organic Cider. Prices aren't the cheapest to be found in Brighton but it hasn't affected the bar's popularity so far.

The Last Word
Year round, The Office is a nice enough bar but the real attraction is the garden at the back so it really comes into its own during the summer months.
