A small pub that's a hit with music lovers and anyone who likes their ale served up with a side order of atmosphere.

The Venue
A white-fronted building, The Ranelagh is a small one-room pub which has a musical bent and a real ale reputation. It's pretty traditional looking and has instruments hanging down from the ceiling and various musical memorabilia including pictures of Blues greats on the walls. There's live music on Sundays and Thursdays which leans towards blues and country. Generally there's great music coming out of the sound system and in summer it floats out into the pleasant little patio garden.

The People
Given its location and size, it's only locals who generally manage to squeeze their way in and pull up a pew.

The Drink
The Ranelagh serves up an impressive array of beers on draught including Doombar, Olympia, HSB, Becks, Kronenbourg, Guinness and Addlestones. In bottles there's the more run of the mill Bulmers and Budweiser.

The Last Word
The Ranelagh Arms is a friendly place which is filled with music and serves a fine pint of real ale.
