The venue It's amazing how fish tanks immediately relax you. Not that the Walmer's not laidback enough as it is, but it seems to have found a niche with the tanks which fascinate youngsters and adults alike. The pub is spacious and is made up of three areas and is a colourful and good quality local Hanover hangout, maybe more for Guardian than Sun readers. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Kids welcome in the back rooms and there is outside seating on Queens Park Road. Happy hour is from 3pm to 7pm. The drink & food On draught there's Hoffbrau, Leffe, Guinness, Stowford Press, Old Rosie, Sussex Best, Tanglefoot and other guest ales. Corona, Budweiser, Newcastle Born and Magner's are in bottles and there are three house bottles of red and three of white. The pizzas are the thin-crust type with imaginative toppings.
