Best known for its use of local produce this seafront restaurant serves up a delicious menu in a beautiful setting.

The Venue
Looking out to sea, Due South’s outdoor seating area is the perfect place to eat your meal whilst taking in the stunning views. However, if you are looking for a peaceful meal then the dozens of people running past every minute might urge you inside the restaurant. Then again, with the high arched ceilings and elegant interiors, that might not be such a bad thing. Prime tables of choice are nestled against the window looking out to sea, enough to inspire romance in even the hardest of hearts.

The Atmosphere
Whilst romance is easy to create at Due South, the restaurant certainly isn't cloyingly dedicated to romantic rendezvous. It's just as well suited to a laid back lunch or dinner with some friends or a foodie family gathering.

The Food and Drink
Due South eptomises what the finest Brighton restaurants are all about. When dining out at Due South you can be certain that you are being kind to your body thanks to the all organic menu, including the extensive wine list. At first glance the menu is not that large but that’s only because half of what is served every day depends on the freshness and availability of the ingredients on that day so make sure that you take time to hear the specials.

A seafront restaurant, it’s easy to see why fish is the star of the show. The menu changes every month, but the fish is always delicious (and impeccably presented) and there’s still fine quality dishes for vegetarians and carnivores alike although it would be a little like going to a wine bar and asking for a pint of lager when the fish here is so outstandingly fresh, flaky, moist and beautifully cooked.

The Last Word
Due South is the perfect place to go if you want to support local suppliers in Brighton. The fresh food and inventive menu is sure to impress even the fussiest of fish aficionados. Highly recommended.
