Pizzas are always great, but as previous reviewers have mentioned, if you go at a prime time, expect kids, cluttered tables waiting to be cleared and flustered staff..
Never had a bad experience in this PE apart from waiting times.. food has always been excellent, staff varies, but never rude, just a little rushed, or lax, depending on situation
Can't judge a book too much by its cover; not every Pizza Express is as good as every other, and this one spoils some quite decent food with a slovenly approach to restaurant maintenance and service.
Expect the following: your first sight will be of five or six tables that are full of uncleared plates, and you will believe you are invisible - several waiters will walk past you as though you are not there while you try to find a place to stand (there is no obvious place to wait to be greeted).
Eventually someone will come up to you, looking obviously stressed, and will tell you to sit anywhere you like.
You will naturally want to sit at one of the uncleared tables, so have to wait a bit longer for them to clear this.
If you can bear that, the pizzas are freshly prepared and quite good.
This place is at the end of my road, so this is an experience I've been through a few times - it never varies.
The staff work hard; they could just do with a bit of savvy restaurant management.
I went to this restaurant on a busy sunday lunch and the whole team were wonderfull they kept their cool under pressure and the chef even took the time to come over and show my children round the restaurant once things had calmed down. You can't beat service like that.
Can't say I had the best experience here the food was nice but the service a bit sloppy.
