We always go to the Sanctuary Cafe for Sunday lunch and would recommend it to everyone for a first class eating experience for only £11 a head including a glass of organic wine!
You can sit and read the papers whilst celeb spotting amongst the local musicians and actors who frequent this hip cafe!
We love the coffee, double shots in every cup! Midweek specials include thai vegetable curry and hearty soups too.

The Sanctuary goes from strength to strength. Not only is it child friendly, having brand new high chairs and a baby change unit in the loo, but the food just gets better and better! The music is laid back and the staff are cheerful, knowledgeable and friendly.
Everything on the menu is made in-house and there are four stars for the scores on the doors rating (high standard of kitchen hygiene)
We love it, especially the Sunday roast!

I had been to this restaurant several years before and had remembered it being really good, but not this time! The staff were cool and unwelcoming. I went with a baby and the highchairs were disgustingly dirty. It took several baby wipes to get the tray of the highchair clean. Not only did it have food caked on it but it had black grime where it had never been washed. The reins to keep the baby in had mildew and more caked on food.
After the state of the highchair I thought I would wipe the table with a baby wipe, again lots of black grime came off. The food (we had quiche and 2 salads) was bland and quite frankly I was worried whether the same hygene was applied to the food so couldnt quite relax there. As a memeber of the vegetarian society I was very excited about going back to this cafe but I was totally disappointed and felt I couldnt leave soon enough. I would never go back.
