I was enjoying my coffee and almond croissant with my laptop in the basement when a member of staff came over and started spraying a large plant immediately behind me (this morning, 14.Aug.08). The spraying went on for some time and no acknowledgement was made of my presence. He wasn't using water because there was a chemically smell. I was so astonished I didn't say anything (something I regret, but in the heat of the moment we don't always act rationally). I soon felt rather unwell and changed seat. In spite of the good coffee and pastries there'll be no return visit. Shocking! I'm seriously contemplating a complaint to environmental health.

Spinelli was a pleasant change from the big coffee chains. I enjoyed a hot coffee annd cake whilst waiting for my wife to finish shopping.
