Wagamama's portions are pretty large, but at least the food is healthy.
I always used to like the moyashi soba, but it was withdrawn from British Wagamamas in 2006. Now here's where Wagamama really impressed me.
The replacement veggie ramen was named Saian soba. I didn't like it. It had grilled courgette rather than fresh, and the tofu had been taken out. The additions of asparagus and grated carrot didn't make up for the strange change in flavour.
I wrote to Wagamama about it, and was invited, along with 12 other veggies who'd complained, to the flagship restaurant behind Selfridges.
It seems 20 veggies had complained within the first two weeks of the changes.
We were all treated to a new formulation, which brought together the best of the two dishes, hurrah for the return of tofu and fresh courgette, and given £30 worth of vouchers.
It just goes to show, they will listen.
It's definitely a chain I'd recommend.

This place is great. We had quick service even in the lunchtime rush hour.
